The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees are set to kick off the World Series in Game 1.
Both of these teams have big names on their rosters, and fans can be in for a treat because the home runs can come fast and in bunches.
When it comes to the World Series Most Valuable Player, it looks like he’ll be one of the big names on the winning team.
However, MLB analyst Charlie Culberson said he believes there is an under-the-radar player who could take home the award.
“I think Max Muncie is my wild horse to win the World Series MVP this year,” Culberson said via SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio.
“It’s going to come down to the guys who aren’t in the big three, on each side.”

Culberson describes that both teams will be hyper-focused on Aaron Judge, Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton, the Yankees’ Shohei Otani, Mookie Betts and the Dodgers’ Freddie Freeman.
Being so focused on those players can leave room for each team’s depth players to capitalize on pitchers thinking they’re in the clear after moving on to the All-Stars.
Muncy falls into the Dodgers’ depth category, but he has plenty of postseason experience.
In 57 career postseason games, Muncy has 13 home runs, 34 RBI, 38 runs scored and an .885 OPS.
Culberson may have a case for his World Series MVP selection, as most fans know Muncy can leave the yard at any time.
If Muncy can juggle some low-leverage pitches, he could make a case for himself.
