The Minnesota Twins suffered one of their most historic collapses in 2024, missing the postseason by finishing 82-80.
After being in a playoff position for most of the regular season, the Twins were split at the end of the year and were one of two teams in the American League Central not to make the playoffs.
Not only did the Twins have a bitter end to the season, but they’ve been quiet this offseason with no notable accomplishments thus far.
The Twins have some talent on their roster, including starting pitcher Pablo Lopez.
However, MLB analyst Kevin Frandsen said he believes Lopez could be traded.
“Honestly, who wouldn’t want Pablo Lopez?” Frandsen said via Sirius XM’s MLB Network Radio.
Could Pablo Lopez be the next big name on the move?

Lopez debuted with the Miami Marlins in 2018 and played for them for five seasons before coming to the Twins in 2023.
In 2024, the righty started 32 games and went 15-10 with a 4.08 ERA and 198 strikeouts in 185.1 innings.
Frandsen said he thinks several teams would be interested in trading Lopez, especially at his price point compared to his performance.
While the team will likely have to give up several top prospects in a trade, the Twins may be inclined to do so because they have been unable to improve their roster this offseason.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of the offseason plays out for the Twins and whether they opt to add some talent or trade their ace for a potential rebuild.
