The Toronto Blue Jays missed the postseason in 2024, finishing in last place in the American League East.
In a tough division, the Blue Jays need to stay aggressive in the offseason, but they have yet to make a move.
Although they have held talks with major players including Juan Soto, they have not been able to land any significant talent.
Former Blue Jays manager and MLB analyst Buck Martinez revealed his thoughts on what he expects from the organization as the season progresses.
“There’s no way I’m ready to close the book on the Blue Jays offseason,” Martinez said, via MLB Network.

Martinez notes that teams are moving on before the end of spring training, so there is plenty of time to add talent to the Blue Jays.
In addition to signing new players, the Blue Jays have reportedly held talks with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. about a contract extension as he is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2025 season.
With plenty of talent still on the table, the Blue Jays have options to pursue if they choose to do so.
Toronto has made the postseason in three of the past eight seasons, but all three appearances resulted in a wild-card loss.
This season, the Blue Jays will try to win their first division title since 2015 and advance to the wild-card round for the first time since 2016.
