Not since 1996 have so many Americans populated the Top-20 of the ATP and WTA rankings.

Frances Tiafoe BECOME UNITED Taylor FritzBen Shelton, Tommy Paul and Sebastian Korda on the men’s side, while in third place Coco Gauffin sixth place Jessica Pegula on the women’s side they are joined by Danielle Collins, Emma Navarro and Madison Keys.

It’s a testament to the depth of the talent pool on both sides of the tournament, but it’s not all perfect — the Americans are still searching for their first men’s Grand Slam winner since 2003, and there’s not one talent in the Top-10.

Tiafoe, who reached his first Masters 1000 final in Cincinnati, returned to the Top-20 on Tuesday. He is one of three active American men to reach at least the semi-finals at a major, along with Ben Shelton and Tommy Paul – an American has not reached a major final since Andy Roddick at Wimbledon in 2009.
