Every year, we hit the ground running at the fine Orange County Convention Center with one goal in mind: to find the coolest (or, sometimes, weirdest) stuff and tell you all about it.
Our annual Best of Show awards are a great way to showcase some of the products we’re really excited about as we head into the golf season.
Let’s begin.
adidas ULT365 shorts

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: adidas invented a fabric technology that replaces that pesky silicone on your waistband. It’s snug but soft to keep your shirt in place without the stickiness of silicone. Who knew golf shorts had so much room for improvement?
Alma Mater Beta Lite

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: A more “lifestyle” look than their debut Beta shoe, but with the same technical innovation. of Beta it has all the bells and whistles and you get the same thing just with a slightly more casual look.
Birdilens AR Goggles

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Technology is evolving, but augmented reality GPS glasses are coming. This is the first of what will be many. The establishment must always be known
Blue Tees Rainmaker

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Stronger than the Shot Scope LMI and ties in with everything else Blue Tees has to offer. The system itself is pretty solid. Everything ties together through the GAME app. Although there is a subscription, it is well worth it.
Caddy Splash Divot Tee

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Nothing revolutionary: just a tee with a glove to make fixing the ball marks on the green, the right way to protect the roots. Cheapest item on this list.
CHIP’d

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Interesting technology to help with practice/training. Once we get it to HQ we can see if it’s worth the hype.
COBRA 3DP UK/X handcuffs

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Incredible forgiveness with the back muscles. Stupid playability and great feel
Course registration

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Functional hydration. Finally, something low in sugar, a good amount of caffeine, and a whole host of other goodies. It could very well become the next “it” thing in the soft drink space.
Field Day Sporting Company

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Classic and elevated feel with modern innovation and craftsmanship. Attention to every detail. Currently at around 200 of some of the best golf clubs and growing. The antithesis of the disposable clothing approach. You will buy these parts and have them forever.
GHOST Golf Masters Bag

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Master Releases can sometimes feel overkill or out of reach (especially when it comes to price). Ghost is throwing out one of the most well-crafted “season opener” golf bags I’ve seen in years. It’s “old money meets new stuff.” Colors are balanced. Little Easter eggs honoring the holy lands, Georgia peaches and, who could forget?, azaleas.
GolfJoy Spica 3

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Three cameras and 99 percent of the accuracy of a Foresight GC Quad … for $3,200? The market is ready for a big change and someone will sell a boatload of launch monitors if they can figure out the personal launch monitor space under $5k.
Khalhon

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Golf streetwear is a dime a dozen. Khalhon from South Korea takes the “quality” conversation to a new level. Collabs come across our desk every day, but this one offers attention to detail, materials that move with your swing and look sick doing it. This is hard to find. Collaborations with PAYNTR are in the pipeline. Women’s clothing and purposeful tailoring that would have you believe the price was much higher.
Logan wedges / Octogrip

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: A small company from Scotland offers a great looking wedge with some dexterity and the grips keep you from holding the club too hard.
Motocaddy M7 GPS

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Perhaps the highest-rated electric stroller in our Most Wanted test history, the flagship M7 GPS gets a refreshed, improved GPS display, new chassis and a host of other improvements…. and the really good news, folks? Zero price increase.
PAYNTR Reserve Classic Tour RS

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Min Woo Lee joined the PAYNTR Golf staff with a bang. His new signature shoe brings a more classic and elevated look to PAYNTR’s amazing performance platform. And they only cost $180
Golf runner

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: The impressive amount of customization and customization in their putters and the assembly process was really informative and compelling. Putters also feel great.
Sierra Madre

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: I’ve been playing golf for nearly 20 years and have failed time and time again to find even some women’s clothing made specifically for the game that didn’t just barely meet the mark. Sierra Madre is not only owned by women, but its pieces are designed by women. This makes a big difference. The crop tops aren’t too short, the slacks have pockets that matter but don’t add to the hips, and the colors are bright but not childish. Materials change from season to season. bravo
TITE glasses

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: TITE is everything I love about sunglasses: lens technology to enhance green tints, adjustable ears for a perfect fit, and a silicone strap on top to keep them from slipping off your hat.
VG103 Vice Forged Irons

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Extremely clean look for a company that otherwise prides itself on high-end colors and custom work. Dare I say these rival the first blades I’ve ever seen? You tell me.
VICE Moon Rock Golf Balls

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: No joke. I had people stop me at shows just to look at these. With only 1,000 dozen made, Moon Rock golf balls are unlike any “custom design” we’ve ever seen. Impossible to find? Maybe. It looks sick on your shelf though!
Vortex distance

Why it deserves the Best in Show award: Successful range hunting technology? Sign me up. Crazy lifetime warranty, stabilization if you have shaky hands, and stable pricing.
