The 2025 Brooks XC Championship presented by Fleet Feet Sports, Results and the BIG STORY


The story of the collapse of the Foot Locker running series and the light-speed takeover by Brooks Running is a story in itself. Be careful what you wish for. The Brooks sports marketing team and the rest of the Brooks brand then had to organize four regional and national meetings, recruit co-sponsors, put together a streaming video program and get the word out.

And they did it with the help of Sound Running, Fleet Feet Sports, Flotrack.com, SuperFeet and their other partners at the 2025 Brooks XC Championships presented by Fleet Feet Sports.

  • Larry Eder has been involved in athletics for 52 years. Larry has experienced sports as an athlete, coach, magazine publisher, and now a journalist and blogger. His first article, about Don Bowden, America’s first 4-minute miler, was published in RW in 1983.
