This post ranks the 10 most accurate drivers of 2026 by MGS’s accuracy score and puts each number in context: where the driver finished in general in the full test. Accuracy without distance and forgiveness tells only part of the story.
How do we measure accuracy?
Accuracy in the 2026 test is built around two metrics: Shooting percentage (SS%) AND Playable Shot Percentage (PS%). Forehand shots that land in the fairway are ideal, but playable ones that miss the fairway, while a clear approach is just as important. The MGS accuracy score reflects both metrics across the tester’s full panel.

Three drivers on this top-10 accuracy list, the TaylorMade Qi4D (first overall), Callaway Quantum Max (second) and Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond (third), also finished in the top three overall. They found precision without giving up distance or forgiveness. This combination is what separates the great all-rounders from the merely fair ones.
#1: LA GOLF Driver — Accuracy 9.3 | 11 in general
The LA GOLF driver is the most accurate driver in the entire 2026 test – the first year of testing. The Face ID driver produced ball flight that testers described as “straight as hell” with the “best driver setup of the year” out of the box. In terms of accuracy alone, nothing beats it.
What you give up is distance.
A distance score of 8.2 is the lowest on this list of accurate drivers and well behind the leaders. Testers consistently noticed slower ball speeds coming off the face. Its forgiveness score (8.9) is really strong, so it resists mistakes; it just doesn’t generate the speed of top performers.
#2: Callaway Quantum Max — Accuracy 9.2 | 2 In general
Quantum Max is the answer for players who don’t want to choose between straight and long. He posted the highest distance score (9.5) of any driver on this accuracy list along with a 9.2 accuracy score. He finished runner-up in the 2026 full test.

#3: PING G440 SFT — Accuracy 9.2 | 18 in general
The PING G440 SFT ties the Quantum Max for accuracy score, but falls 16 points lower in the overall ranking. The SFT is a bias driver designed specifically to correct a putt and keep the ball in play – and it does just that. But achieving this form of flight comes at a real cost in distance.
A distance score of 8.0 is the lowest on this entire list.
SFT is doing exactly what it was designed to do. But it’s the most specialized driver on this list and averaged about 10 yards shorter in our testing. With the right fit and shaft for a slicing golfer, the G440 SFT can give you more usable distance.
