Had a strange moment in the climate moments of John Deere Classic Sunday evening.
Maybe you caught the ear in the CBS telekastin Emiliano GrilloIn the first hole of the Play off, led his ball to the rough right. After Grillo had arrived on his ball, CBS broadcast an image of Grillo climbing a theme on the ground next to his ball and taking the ball up.
“Now, Colt, what’s going on with Grillo’s ball?” CBS andrew Catalon notifier asked the reporter on the course Knostl.
To which Knost said, “The marshal decided to take it, so (Grillo) had to return and come to the nearest place possible.”
If your reaction would be such a thing of many observers on social media you are thinking, Say what?! Why would a trained Marshall PGA Tour get a ball in such an important moment?
Well, it turns out a marshal no. Here’s what actually went down.

If you have lost Exciting conclusion for dereGrillo and Brian Campbell met on a Play off of sudden death after finishing the regulation bound on 18 under. The first play-off hole was par-4 18, where Campbell, first hitting, threw a car down the right center of the road. Grillo followed with a strong blow that was about 20 yards longer than Campbell, but the right of the road and in a group of fans.
When the players reached their balls, Campbell did not waste much time. From 193 yards, he hit an iron flown 16 meters from the hole. Grillo’s second hit, though shorter, was not so straightforward. He had trees just to the right of his line and also dealt with a strange decision. At one point after Grillo’s ball was placed in the harsh, someone – seemingly a marshall, as reported by Knost – had chosen the ball and moved it.
Fans at the tournament events will occasionally get a ball before they will deliberately remove it after realizing the mistake of their ways, but a marshal making this at such a follower seemed invisible.
It made sense, therefore, to learn that it was not a marshall after all.

PGA Tour just got a champion twice that no one saw it coming
On Monday morning, a PGA Tour media official told Golf.com that a marshall was not at fault – in fact, a new fan had removed the ball before coming again.
Grillo then made a little his mind.
According to rule 9.6, a ball moved by an external influence must be replaced without punishment on where it moved. Instead of putting his ball, Grillo threw it. There is no harm, no foul, anyway. “He corrected it,” the official said, “and placed it in the estimated place from which he moved.”
After Grillo’s ball officially returned to the game, he remained with what seemed to be a clean lie. But from the 169 yard abroad, he could not match the Campbell’s shooting, instead of ventilating his access to green and leaving himself a complicated slope chip from just more than 60 meters. When Grillo failed to get up from there, Campbell had two blows for his second tournament.
