Stuart Weir did this question on Eilidh Doyle. Stewart was in 150 races, all the distances of Eylidad’s Doyle over the years. I like his questions, some from the usual, which is the correct interview.
Ten questions to Helen Doyle
Eilidh Doyle is a really thoughtful athlete and a lovely person. We have already posted 5 reflections. Final we range around topics that have not been accommodated by any previous posts
1: Do you prefer to run for Scotland or UK?
Both teams feel quite different because the Scottish team is much smaller. I probably appreciate Scotland, because it only happens every four years in collaboration games. I think I’m more aware that when I will compete for Scotland, that bit is special because it is rare. I don’t mean I am accepting the United Kingdom, but in the same year you can compete in the closed championship and outdoor championships and European teams. I am equally proud of both, but Scotland is so little special because it doesn’t happen very often. We are a small nation in Scotland, but we are a very loud and patriotic people. Every time I compete, they were able to win a medal for Scotland and have a writing of honor.
2. What was your favorite training session?
I used to really loved obstacles meetings. Malcolm (former coach Malcolm Arnold) used to make us two runs more than 10 obstacles every Thursday – a The whole race. I usually would go more than 1-8 or more than five. Malcolm would say. “You have to do it in the race, so how are you going to do it if you train it?” And that makes sense. Those sessions were great technical sessions. But then I realized that I had so much received from those sessions, so they were probably my favorite sessions.

3. Is there a training course you hate?
My least favorite sessions. More than 450, work on any distance. Through Malcolm, I was doing the 450s, but we were doing two 50 seconds as fast as you can in 50 seconds. You work as efficiently 400 m, and I would immediately go down to the house when she was going to blow the whistle. I find it easier to drive away. Even by 450, you can see the end, but running apartment for 50 seconds, you always die at home, your feet went. There 20 minutes there, when you die a little earlier. But they were a great session for information and they would say a lot to you. I remember doing this in 2016 and reaching 400 meters of line and think that “I’m in big shape,” so it gave you great information.
But we did another one, which I think was 5,4,3,4.5 years old, which would you return and would complete by 500 or sometimes 600? They were terrible.
But there is never nothing I’m really afraid. It is obvious that you knew you would like to feel lactic, but if you did those sessions well, you really ignite, and you are ready to go and compete.

4. You have won medals about almost all the championship, the diamond leagues were important to you.
Diamond Leagues are important to win or receive units, but to show yourself to that level of competition. I remember when I went to London 2012, I was really scared there by other athletes. I felt depressed who was on someone else who was in the heat, who was in my warmth, thinking that these girls are amazing. But then I continue the connection of the diagond league. I received its taste in 2013, and by 2014 I was a lot in all the diagande league, where it would be able to walk around these girls during the week. So when I saw them in the championship, I thought “I’m competing against you every week.” This really does not differ from the diamond league, and it will be the mind attention I will have. I remember looking around in the final of the European Championships in 2014 and saying that it is not different from the diamond league and you run well in them. So the diagonds were good for my championships for mental preparation
5. Where do you keep your medals?
They are currently in the box. We have been in this house for about 18 months, and there is one room we are going to make an office and have photos of my career in the cabinet. But now that room has become our son’s playground to stop his toys in the whole house. So when we changed that I put all the medals in the box. A few special, I would like to frame my jacket or my number. But at the moment they are just in the box.
6. Do you have a famous sister or Catriona has a famous sister?
It depends on who you ask. If you are a fan of athletics, you may say Catriona has a famous sister. But if you have no interest in Athletics and read his books, I am one of the famous sister. So it depends on who you ask. (Catriona child is a famous author jerkyTTS. // www.In the case of

7. You always seemed to be a lot of competition.
Yes, but I loved the race. And I would always discuss the season, and we knew how many races should be peak and we will set up around it. We will know how many races I want to try before trials and how many a lot before the major champions. After the champions, Malcolm always said, “Do what you like now,” but he always advised to turn a circuit and work a little money and work a little money. I remember in 2013, I stopped my season after Moscow, and Malcolm said: He told me that in 2013 I remembered every year, trying to continue and continue the race. Despite mentally champions, you are not so much. But I just loved the race and I loved to compete there. The race was never trouble for me, because we had done their jobs and trained enough to handle it to handle it. It’s as if I had to negotiate through the races through injury. I was able to compete, jump and turn again and compete.

8. If 400 of the program has dropped. What alternative event would you choose?
Oh Deary. According to the choice, but I think the next distance I can be for any good, 800 m. It is one of my favorite events to watch this, tactics and everything that continues. Would love to do a polar pad. The ability they have received and trust to put yourself upside down.
9. There are former competitors you would like to communicate in social.
400 Harddler girls are quite humans to be fair. In events we can sit together and eat together. I’m always well with Wenda Nel, Sarah Petersen and LEA SPRUNGER. I remember in 2018 in Zurich, the last event of the year, when we were competitors, breakfast together and talking about what we were going to do at our time. And really nice to do that.
The man I never knew, until 2017, the tremors of Perji, Drirton. We had such an intensive competition, but I don’t think it’s ever came from us. I think it came from the media because we were the same age and both are doing well. Because competition was intense, we never really had a chance to communicate or chat. When the Perry was injured on the blame, I took the competition, but we had breakfast in the morning. But Perry and I had never had that relationship, not before 2017. When Perry returned to the team in 2017. And of course Perry and I had children at the same time.
10. Holiday patterns. They changed on a career.
Did it and that didn’t happen. When I started, I used to do Sixteens and alternative legs straight straight and hope I’m coming home in the same leg 17. In 2014, I really nailed the example of my step. It was the same step pattern that almost every race is 15 disturbes five. 16 years of age and 17 to hinder home. I really liked the example of that step on my non-dominant leg with just one obstacle. I’m mostly left leg brush, but I say I don’t think there is a massive difference between the two. I just feel more confident that I take obstacles with the left. It’s the leg I was to disturb my sprints when I was younger. When I was in the form to be a nail, the way it took that step was great. 2014, the end of 2015, mainly 2016, Malcolm said I need to try 15 to hinder six “because when you change, you lose much time.” Malcolm was used in time to split between obstacles, I saw natural slowly when I went through the race. The difference should not be that big, but between five and sixth rounds there has always been a big decline in my time. And he will say I’m losing too much there, so ideally to hinder the 15 to hinder six, 16 to eight and 17 houses. I’ve never really ever received the step form to nail. I got it several times but was much happier to obstruct 15. And in the borders of 2016, when I was running the fastest times, I was really on steps. But the margins are so good, and sometimes Malkolm would say “It’s safe to play”, but make sure you don’t slow down obstacles, even if you are cutting your step.
