Abdilaah’s 26:56.58 WL/NR and Houlihan’s 30:50.10 WL debut
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO (USA, March 28). A world leader and new German record (after 29 years) by Mohamed Abdilaahi of 26:56.58 in the 10,000m highlighted track ten (WACT Silver) meeting. He was only 10 seconds behind Mo Farah’s European record. Australia’s Ky Robinson is also second in an Area Record of 26:57.07, with Dutchman Mike Fopen third in a National Record of 27:20.52. Top US runner Woody Kincaid was fourth in 27:20.84, Ahmed Muhumed was fifth in 27:22.29 and Britain’s Scott Beattie was sixth in 27:23.30 PB.

In the women’s race, former miler Shelby Houlihan made her 10,000m debut in 30:50.10 WL. Second Jessica McClain 31:15.49 ahead of Allie Buchalski 31:29.06 PB and Germany’s Lisa Merkel 31:32.25 PB. Australia’s Oliver Hoare won the 1500m in 3:35.82 and Gabby Jennings in 4:07.69.
