Teacher Bozy Ennis’s 3 World Champions

A few years ago, this author did an article about ‘My Three Sons’ by their father, Bozy Ennis. Reminded me of the TV show Fred McMurray’s ‘My Three Sons’!

His eldest son, Derek ‘Pooh’ Ennis, 24-5-1 with 13 knockouts, won both the father and IBF USBA Super Welterweight titles. Both ‘Pooh’ and ‘Bozy’ were included in the PAB court.

Brother Farah Ennis, 22-2 with 12 knockouts, won the NABF Super Middleweight title.

Right now, Philadelphia’s best teacher-offser, ‘Bozy’ Ennis, has three world champions he works with, including his son, IBF and WBA World Welterweight Champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis, 34-0 with 30 knockouts.

Ennis won the IBF world title and stopped David Avanesyan, 30-4-1 in July 2024. In April of 2025, he added the WBA title and beat Eimantas Stanionis 15-0.

Ennis also leads another Philadelphia WBC World Featherweight Champion in Stephen ‘Scooter’ Fulton, 23-1 with eight knockouts. He is the former WBC and WBO World Super Bantamweight Champion.

In January of 2021, Fulton won the WBO World Super Bantamweight title and defeated Angelo Leo. He added the WBC World title to Super Bantamweight, then Brandon Figueroa unbeaten. He won the WBC World Featherweight title and defeated the then WBC -Tussentage World Everweight Champion Figueroa.

Ennis added a third world champion in IBF and IBO World Super Welterweight Champion Oshae Jones, 8-0 with 3 knockouts. In November, Jones won a split decision on IBF and IBO Super Welterweight Champion Belgium’s Femke Hermans, 18-3, in Atlanta, GA.
