Taylormade Limited Edition of the Taylormade PGA collection for 2025 makes tribute to Charlotte, North Carolina’s house for Quail Hollow, the host course.
The staff of staff features a dark blue, white and gold color scheme with a crown in the ball pocket that symbolizes Charlotte’s “Queen City” nickname. The motto of the city “Charlotte’s Got Very” appears on the lower collar, with the “Queen City” inscribed in the golden ring around the top.
Charlotte’s sporting heritage is represented through Hornets in the pocket of valuable items, accepting both baseball (Charlotte Baseball Hornets folded in 1973) and basketball teams calling the city at home. Racing culture takes its knot with patterns of gray races on the side panels and an interior model of the controlled flag – practical design elements for a city that awaits both the nascar fame hall and one of the most famous sports speeds.
The feathers on the side panels honor the place of the host, with “1961” marking the year that Hollow Quail opened. The matching limits continue these themes with gold wreaths, white feather of darkness and Tayormade logos.
While the thought collection includes many charlotte elements, there is a noticeable release that leaves me disappointed – no specific recognition of Larry Johnson, surely Charlotte the largest ever. The absence of every knot for the “grandmother” feels like a lost opportunity.
Maybe we will see Johnson known in a future repetition, but for now, Grandma is sad, and so am. Even a small silhouette of the golden tooth of Johnson’s signature or a “grandma” label somewhere would have been a perfect final touch for a rich collection with Charlotte symbolism.

However, like the previous major championship collections, these items are likely to be available in limited quantities and sell quickly when released.
