Spider Tour putters are coming out in a new finish and new long configurations.

TaylorMade Golf

The Spider Tour putters have arguably been TaylorMade’s most popular line ever, especially when two of the brand’s biggest stars have been playing hammer games over the past few years (Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler).

After TaylorMade resumed the Spider Tour last year – and after Scottie Scheffler went on a historic tear, winning nine times with Spider Tour X in 2024 worldwide – the company is sticking with what works and adding to it for 2025.

And it’s no wonder then TaylorMade relaunched the proto milled face version of the Spider Tour last month with a new black finish, it’s now bringing the same color scheme to the retail line.

Here are four things you need to know about Spider Tour Black putters.

Black PVD

As the name implies, the Spider Tour Black colors come in a black PVD finish, which isn’t necessarily new to the family. Jason Day famously used a black Itsy Bitsy SpiderSpider Tour forerunner, to win the 2015 PGA Championship and become the No. 1 in the World later that year.

However, with the modern update, all three Spider Tour models – Spider Tour, Spider Tour X and Spider Tour S – each feature the True Path alignment system on the top of the ball, creating a strong visual contrast to help players golf balls to line up properly.

New counterbalanced and long options

With more and more players turning to longer than standard constructions, TaylorMade has added two new offset options and a new long option.

The standard black Spider Tour will be offered with a double neck as a 35-inch offset option, but for players looking for an even longer build, TaylorMade has added the Spider Tour S to the lineup.

The Spider Tour S features a larger head for more mass, stability and MOI and will be offered in both a 38-inch counterbalanced version and a long 46-inch center shaft driver.

Tried and true technology

As with previous versions of the Spider Tour, much of the technology remains the same.

In addition to the True Path alignment system, each meter also features TaylorMade’s successful white TPU Pure Roll insert, HYBAR Echo cushioning, and TSS weight ports to aid the number of weight movements for different lengths.

Options and Availability

Spider Tour Black Putters go on sale today (December 12) for 349 dollars.

Spider Tour X will be available in L-neck and low-slope configurations while Spider tournament it will come in both the small slanted neck and the counterbalanced double bow option.

The bigger Spider Tour S it will be available in either the double-twist counterbalanced construction with a 38-inch axle, or the long configuration with a center axle at 46 inches and a 79-degree reach angle.
