Bangladesh fast bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib and West Indies opener Brandon King were involved in a verbal exchange during the second ODI of the three-match series. Tanzim Hasan Sakib throwing the ball towards Brandon King caused a heated argument between the two players.
The second ODI between Bangladesh and West Indies took place on Tuesday, December 10 at Warner Park in St Kitts. Bangladesh team batted first and scored a total of 227 runs. While Mahmudullah scored a half-century, Tanzid Hasan (46) and Saqib (45) made useful contributions with the bat.

In reply, West Indies openers Brandon King and Evin Lewis got off to a strong start. They hit boundaries and frustrated the Bangladeshi bowlers in a strong performance. In the sixth over of the chase, Tanzim Hasan Sakib bowled the ball to King, who was then bounced back.
Sakib appealed to block the field despite the King being well at the crease. This led to a verbal altercation between the two players, which was eventually calmed down by the umpires.

West Indies lead 2-0 in ODI series against Bangladesh
Brandon King and Evin Lewis shared a partnership of 109 to give West Indies a solid start in the second ODI. Lewis fell short of fifty as he was dismissed for 49 runs by Rishad Hossain.
Kaecy Carty then added 66 runs with King for the second wicket before King was dismissed for 86. Shai Hope (17*) and Sherfane Rutherford (24*) led the team to victory in 13 overs.
West Indies captain Shai Hope was happy with his team’s performance. He praised the bowlers for executing their plans effectively. Emphasizing the team’s continuous analysis and improvement, Umid noted that they aim to finish the series 2-0 with one match remaining.
“I’m very pleased. You understand the importance of wickets in the powerplay and the bowlers delivered what was asked of them. We always analyze our game whether we win or lose and it’s good to see that we’re ticking the boxes and improving,” said Hope.
“We wanted the lads to finish the series here 2-0 and one more so we’re looking forward to it. He (Mindley) had a great outing today, he’s been bowling well in domestic cricket for a long time now and every game is important and it’s the next one. It’s important to get points that will help us qualify for the World Cup.”
West Indies secured an elusive 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. The series finale will be played on Thursday, December 12 at Warner Park.
