Tank Davis’ “Zesty” Makeover Has Tim Bradley Worried About Lamont Roach

Tim Bradley says Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis’ new look is a sign that he “doesn’t give a f***” about what people think of him. Bradley says Tank look “real spicy”which he considers positive because he feels he knows who he is now.

A leaked picture of WBA lightweight champion Tank (30-0, 28 KOs) was shown lying on a beanbag chair with long hair straightened, perhaps by pomade, and appearing to be wearing make-up around his eyes. It is unclear if it was eye shadow or mascara.

“Zesty” & unharmed

He sees it as bad for Gervonta’s next opponent, Lamont Roach, as he will take it out on him when they fight on March 1st at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Tim doesn’t say how Tank’s new carefree attitude about his physical appearance relates to taking it out on Roach, because it’s not like he bad mouthed him. If anything, he seems grateful for the payday.

The power of wealth

Tank is rich, and like many rich people, they don’t care what people think of them. They no longer live in the real world because of their wealth. When you have the kind of mega-wealth that Tank Davis possesses, it’s free from the need to care about the judgment of others.

“He who leaked that photo and he looks very excited (female) and doesn’t give up***. I’m trying to tell you all. My man is on a new level,” Tim Bradley said social mediain response to the leaked photo of WBA lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis showing off his new hairstyle and dress look.

“‘We on a new level. I’m on a new level.’ Yeah, my guy (Tank) is on a new level because he knows who he is. There’s a power in knowing who you are. Most people don’t know who the hell they are, but they are really don’t know who they are.

“It takes a while to figure out. We are constantly evolving as human beings. We are constantly evolving, but now he knows. Tank knows now. That’s why he doesn’t care. To have that power and not give a damn. Tank has that superpower,” Bradley said of Gervonta’s new look.

There have been no photos of Tank’s new hairstyle and glasses since then. It’s hard to tell if the new look is a sign of Davis’ development or just a mood that day. Seeing how he always looks like this, we can conclude that he is “evolving”, as Bradley says.

“He just doesn’t give up. Tank will be Tank. Tank is going to do what Tank is going to do,” Bradley said. “Whether he looks lusty or nothe knows who he is. There is a superpower to it. Guess who he’s going to take it out on? He’s going to take it out on Lamont Roach.

“I feel sorry for Roach. He’s a good fighter, but I’m telling you. This tank here is different. It’s another guy. Did you see the weight too? The guy (Gervonta) can fight tomorrow. The guy can fight today. The guy can fight whenever.

“It’s a few weeks away. It’s a few months away from the fight. I’m saying you’re locked in,” says Bradley.

I don’t see how Tank Roach is going to be treated any differently now than the moment the fight was signed. Bradley is truly accomplished with his views. The fight is a mismatch and always has been.

Tank’s weight is the real thing. He now appears to be near the 135-lb limit, meaning he could easily drop to 130 or 126 to take on the top men in those divisions. Naoya Inoue is the fighter that fans want to see tank, and that match can happen.
