Down and ready outside, Alejandro Tabilo He got up to score one of his biggest career victories.
Qualifier Tabilo fought two championship points coming out on top Lorenzo Masetti 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (5) to search for his third ATP tour title and the first of the season.
Nr. 112 Tabilo denied the championship points that serve in 5-6 in the third set by sealing a bold holding.
Masetti opened a 4-1 lead in Tiebreaker and was three points from the title when Tabilo lit it again.
Chilean no. 1 withdrew from six of the last seven points that were dropped in court in Joy, becoming the second qualification that received an ATP title and the Tour Tour’s lowest champion in 2025.
“I just had to stay there mentally and physically,” Tabilo said. “I was so happy to make those first services at the match points. It was a tremendous effort from the team too. It’s been two weeks long and I’m just so happy.”
