The contest was led by Narayan Jagadeesan’s breathtaking century and Tilak Varma’s confident comeback as India A scored 238.
Narayan Jagadeesan scored the 47th century for USA
Here came the standout performance of the evening N Jagadeesanproduced an amazing 104 off just 55 deliveries. The wicketkeeper-batsman reached his century in just 47 balls and set the tone for India A’s dominant batting display. Jagadeesan’s innings was a mix of clean hitting and smart placement, featuring 11 fours and 4 sixes in a strike rate of around 190.
Coming in early after Priyansh Arya’s fall, Jagadeesan quickly took control of the batting. His ability to accelerate without taking undue risks forced the US bowlers to look for answers on a stroke-friendly surface.
Tilak Varma marks his comeback with a smooth knock
Tilak Varma, back from injury, was in fine touch as he scored 38 runs off 24 balls. Batting at number 3, the left-hander played with confidence and intent, hitting over 158 and converting the strike effectively. His partnership with Jagadeesan was instrumental in taking India A past the 150-run mark in the 14th over.
Tilak’s presence also provided balance to the middle order, reassuring the team management ahead of the main tournament. His dismissal shortly after crossing the halfway mark did not slow India A’s momentum.
Ayush Badoni finishes in style as India A post 238
Captain Ayush Badoni ensured that there was no rush at the time of death. Badoni hit an unbeaten 60 off just 26 balls, showing his finishing prowess with plenty of boundaries and sixes. India A closed their innings at 238 for 3.
The US bowlers struggled to contain the attack, rotating their options throughout the innings, with the most runs being 10-plus runs.

Spirited pursuit of the United States is lacking
Chasing a daunting target of 239, the US showed their intent early but were always caught. Andries Gous top-scored with 44, while Sanjay Krishnamurthi added 41 off just 18 balls to keep the chase alive briefly.
However, regular wickets halted any sustained momentum. Led by Ravi Bishnoi, India A’s bowling attack applied consistent pressure through the middle overs. Bishnoi finished with three wickets while Khaleel Ahmed and Naman Dhir shared four wickets between them.
