JJ SPAUN and his coaches at US Open.
Claire Rogers
Hello friends and happy Sunday open And the Father’s Day for all those who observe! Despite an extremely rainy day, wet in Oakmont, we officially have an open champion in the US. I didn’t know much about Jj spaun Until his Play off against Rory Mcilroy in the player championship in March, but I became his fan after hearing him talking about his career way at TPC Sawgrass.
I’m not over the winning Putt of Spaun and I’m not sure I will ever be. What reading!
Caitlin Clark Relative Taking
One of my favorite parts of the big championship weeks is to see what professional and celebrity athletes are allocating into action. It is not surprising that Caitlin Clark was watching everything unfolding in Oakmont because she followed the masters in April and is a self -proclaimed golf fanatic. She asked a very good question about the course: “Is it a pleasure to play?”
I think it depends on who you are looking for, but I would be willing to think that for a majority of players in Oakmont this week, the answer is “no”. Oakmont got a physical, mental and emotional number for the best in the world this week. I’m also not sure that Clark, I or any other average golf player can shoot 130 there. It can definitely be much higher.
The best place you see people in Oakmont
My favorite place to sit by the end of the day at the main Sunday championship is the crossing between the note, the interview area and the player’s entry into the club. It is a place where every single professional, Caddy and family member passes at a moment after their round, and Sunday evenings is a place where emotions work up. And because there are a lot of television around, players often stop watching the broadcast in their exit.
As I stayed at the crossing, I saw Mredith, Scottie and Bennett Scheffler thank the police officer who was with them all week. Scottish He opened a leather bag, pulled out a herd of hats and handed it to the officer while he and Mredith thanked him experienced and told him to “get out of here and enjoy your father’s day”.
Scheffler family just stopped from security on their way to personally thank him for his work this week, give him some Nike Swag and wish him a happy father’s day

The officer kept his peace while talking to world no. 1, but could not help but smile when they left. As I left that interaction, I saw Jon and Kelley Rahm embraced as they watched the broadcast.
There is an ancestor in 18 that blocks the green appearance from the crossing and television was slightly delayed, so I didn’t hear the screams and a “JJ!” Call that my collaborator, James Colgan and I learned that Spaun plunged his bird’s bird to win the championship. As we made our way to scoring, Spaun’s coaches, Adam Schriber and Josh Gregory had an epic hug. It was the beginning of the topic I continued to notice for the rest of the night: the good, the coaches and the cadets who cheered for their competition and friend.
Gregory is the coach of spaun short games, and he kidnapped Schriber, spaun shake coach and said “F *** yes, you have done so! You. Did. This. Listen. Listen to me. There is no one working more than you.” It could be easy for each coach to celebrate its part in the spaun victory, but the two did the opposite. They went to work each other and the work of each other. And that was just the beginning of the boys who wished each other Sunday evening.
Bob Macintre It was marking when the spaun drained the fork at No. 18 and there was no choice but to get its lid. I always get nervous that a player will react with anger when the camera on them and they see someone else win the tour, but it was not eventually a matter here. The game respects the game and how can you be NO Rate a 64-foot in the 72nd hole?
One of the most delightful parts of this work (in my humble opinion) is to see the good to look at the golf. Tyrrell Hatton’s reaction to Spaun’s victory was perfect.
“Oh he’s supported it. That’s extraordinary.”
As the spaun got on the note, the players started leaving the club. Tearful Sam Burns He walked through the steps as he held his son and went to the parking lot. Victor Hovland hugged his parents, disappeared in the closet room to change in jeans and headed towards the car. And then everyone was waiting for the sample to appear.
The road out of the club is always where I see players turning from the way they work back into dad, husband and friends, and Sunday at US Open was no exception.
Celebrities and other good wishes JJ SPAUN
A small number of professional players and athletes took on social media to congratulate Spaun on his open victory in the US. Patrick Mahomes, Smylie Kaufman, Justin Thomas, Tom Watson, Colt Knost and Billy Horschel were among the first people to congratulate Spaun on Twitter, and Sahith Theegala reformulated a video of his winner in his Instagram stories.
Wow what putt!

I have a feeling that he will hear from many other players, athletes and celebrities through the text and phone call.
The most delightful social videos of the week
I will leave you all with two of my favorite pieces of content from Java. First is this video from Golfbet, where they asked PGA Tour’s players if they were to get for the week at Oakmont or take their chances.
Everyone, but Collin Morikawa said they would also make before, which was a smart decision. Would have won you second solo this week.
Update: 1541 players have attracted it to Oakmont for an open US. Only 29 (or 1.8%) have finished the week under the same time https://t.co/mogbgk5ads

And lastly, here is a video from Jeff Marsh, who grabbed the turn between the two sides of the Oakmont Country Club from above. Very delightful!
