The second match between India and Bangladesh was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and the home team put up an absolutely stunning performance to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
How did Indian Batters perform in 2nd T20I vs Bangladesh?
Indian National Cricket Team lost the toss but got what they wanted as they were invited to bat first in the match. The opening duo of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma did their best to get India off to a flying start. However, they did not succeed in their attempts.
Sanju Samson struck with the bat once again as he scored just 10 runs off 7 balls before being dismissed by Taskin Ahmed. Opening partner Abhishek returned to the hut after 15 runs from 11 balls. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav also suffered a rare failure, 8 runs and some speed to Bangladesh.
At this time, the youngsters Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh stood up and showed their class. Nitish was particularly impressive despite playing in his second T20I for India.

Rinku Singh scored 53 runs off 29 balls and his innings was completed with 5 fours and 3 sixes. The KKR star refused to celebrate God’s Plan even after completing his fifty in the match. Later, Riyan Parag also chipped in with a crucial 15 runs as India posted 221/9 on the board.

In terms of total defence, Arshdeep Singh once again provided India with a great start as he dismissed Parvez Hossain Emo for 16. Varun Chakravarty also dealt an early blow to Bangladesh as he dismissed Litton Das for 14.
The bowlers then continued to show their dominance and did not allow any shots to settle in the middle. Jaker Ali was the only one to go beyond 39 as he scored 41.
In the end, the Indian bowlers restricted Bangladesh to 135/9 and won the match by 86 runs. Suryakumar Yadav used 7 bowling options in the match and all of them picked a wicket. It was also the first time that 7 bowlers took at least one wicket in a T20I innings for India.

In the post-match presentation ceremony, Suryakumar Yadav said that he wanted India to lose early wickets as he wanted the middle-order batsmen to face a difficult situation.
Suryakumar Yadav said he was impressed by the way the middle-order batsmen played and heaped praise on the duo of Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh.
Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav later revealed that he tried 7 bowling options and did not give the ball to Hardik Pandya as he wanted to see what others could offer.
“I wanted this situation, I wanted my tattoos (5,6,7) in that situation. I was happy for both of them (Rinku and Nitish). They batted the way I wanted. You have to go out there and express it. It’s just that the form changes, the rest remains the same,” – said Suryakumar Yadav.
“I wanted to see what different bowlers can do in different situations. Can they give me tough assignments. Sometimes Hardik, sometimes Washington won’t bowl on Sunday. I wanted to see what the other guys had in store, really. It was his (Nitish’s) day, I thought. , enjoy it and grow it,” said Suryakumar Yadav.
