Suryakumar Yadav’s shocking statement on India losing early wickets in 2nd T20I

The second match between India and Bangladesh was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and the home team put up an absolutely stunning performance to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

In terms of total defence, Arshdeep Singh once again provided India with a great start as he dismissed Parvez Hossain Emo for 16. Varun Chakravarty also dealt an early blow to Bangladesh as he dismissed Litton Das for 14.

The bowlers then continued to show their dominance and did not allow any shots to settle in the middle. Jaker Ali was the only one to go beyond 39 as he scored 41.

In the end, the Indian bowlers restricted Bangladesh to 135/9 and won the match by 86 runs. Suryakumar Yadav used 7 bowling options in the match and all of them picked a wicket. It was also the first time that 7 bowlers took at least one wicket in a T20I innings for India.

In the post-match presentation ceremony, Suryakumar Yadav said that he wanted India to lose early wickets as he wanted the middle-order batsmen to face a difficult situation.

Suryakumar Yadav said he was impressed by the way the middle-order batsmen played and heaped praise on the duo of Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh.

Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav later revealed that he tried 7 bowling options and did not give the ball to Hardik Pandya as he wanted to see what others could offer.

“I wanted this situation, I wanted my tattoos (5,6,7) in that situation. I was happy for both of them (Rinku and Nitish). They batted the way I wanted. You have to go out there and express it. It’s just that the form changes, the rest remains the same,” – said Suryakumar Yadav.
