Suryakumar Yadav’s open message to Indian players

Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad hosted the third and final match of the three-match T20I series between India and Bangladesh.

What happened to Bangladesh 3rd T20I in India?

India won the toss and elected to bat first in the match. They made the only change to the XI as Ravi Bishnoi came in for Arshdeep Singh.

The Indian team didn’t get off to a very good start as Abhishek Sharma failed to deliver the next time around. However, Sanju Samson turned on monster mode and scored 111 runs off 47 balls.

Suryakumar Yadav scored a sensational knock of 75 runs off 35 balls. Remaining contributions from Hardik Pandya (47) and Riyan Parag (34) helped India post a mammoth total of 297/6 on the board.

Defending the total, Ravi Bishnoi (3), Mayank Yadav (2), Nitish Reddy (1) and Washington Sundar (1) combined to restrict the visitors to 164/7. India won the match by a huge margin of 133 runs to complete the clean sweep.

A jubilant Suryakumar Yadav said at the post-match presentation ceremony that they have achieved a lot as a team and want to enjoy each other’s success.

Suryakumar Yadav has made it clear that he needs dedicated cricketers in the team and revealed that the message to the players in the dressing room is ‘no one is bigger than the team’.

“We have achieved a lot as a team. I want to have selfless cricketers in my team. We want to be a selfless team. Like Hardik said, we want to enjoy each other’s performances on the field, off the field. As much time as possible and that camaraderie continues on the field and we’re having fun,” he said.

“The talk around the team was, Gauti bhai said the same thing at the beginning of the series, and when we went to Sri Lanka, nobody is bigger than the team. If you’re 99 or 49 or somewhere, if you feel you have to hit a ball out of the park for the team, you have to hit it. and Sanju has done the same and I am very happy for him,” said Suryakumar Yadav.

Suryakumar Yadav added: “Everybody needs to chip in. Their performance in this series was commendable. (Areas to improve) Just keep good habits, keep it up on the field and be the same.”

What happened in the previous T20I between India and Bangladesh?

In the first innings, India posted a total of 221 runs on the board. The star of the show was Nitish Reddy, who scored 74 off just 34 balls, displaying an aggressive batting with 4 fours and 7 sixes.

Rinku Singh also made a significant impact scoring 53 off 29 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma and Hardik Pandya contributed with quick runs but it was Reddy and Singh who laid the foundation for the massive total.

The Indian bowlers then dominated, restricting Bangladesh to just 135 runs to claim a comfortable victory by 86 runs. Nitish Reddy was particularly impressive, taking 2 wickets for just 23 runs in 4 overs while displaying excellent control.

Varun Chakravarthy also contributed significantly by claiming 2 wickets for 19 runs, keeping the Bangladesh batsmen quiet. Arshdeep Singh piled on the pressure by taking 1 wicket for 26 runs in 3 overs while Washington Sundar single-handedly took the vital wicket of 4 runs. Mayank Yadav and Riyan Parag also played their part, with the pacer claiming 1 wicket for 30 runs and the spinner taking 1 wicket for 16 runs at 2 runs.
