Suryakumar Yadav shows great fielding efforts
Gerald Coetzee produced an explosive effort with the bat for South Africa in his first T20I. With the match all but lost, the Proteas pacer was swinging his bat as hard as he could to hit boundaries and entertain the crowd in Durban.
Gerald Coetzee was, to some extent, quite successful in his endeavour, as he smashed three sensational sixes and batted at a strike rate of 209.08, the highest by any South African in the innings.
However, his innings was cut short in the fifth ball of the 17th over and Gerald Coetzee was forced back to the dugout after scoring 23 runs off 11 balls.
It should be noted that in 16.5 left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh hit a juicy full to Keshav Maharaj who failed to take advantage of it. Maharaj mistimes a drive to extra cover and runs for a single.
There was a big mess between Keshav Maharaj and Gerald Coetzee as after multiple yes and no calls and mid-range chatter, they decided to go ahead with the runs, only for Suryakumar Yadav to break the stumps at the end of the innings with a sensational over. direct hit.
Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav took aim and hit it over the stumps at the dead end to dismiss Coetzee just short of the crease. With the dismissal of Gerald Coetzee, the Proteas were reduced to 135/9.
Avesh Khan then bowled Keshav Maharaj in the fifth ball of the 18th over to bundle South Africa out for 141 and help India win by 61 runs.

What happened in South Africa’s previous T20I series?
Prior to their clash with the Indian National Cricket Team in the shortest format of the game, the South African National Cricket Team locked horns with the Irish National Cricket Team in a two-match T20I series.
South Africa comprehensively defeated Team Ireland in the series opener in Abu Dhabi to take the lead in the series. The Proteas bowling unit, led by Patrick Kruger’s 4-wicket haul, restricted Ireland to 171/8 in 20 overs.
Just behind, the opening duo of Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks displayed their explosive batting and blasted sensational half-centuries. After the openers laid the foundation for the victory, the rest of the batsmen made small contributions as the Proteas completed the run chase in 17.4 overs to win by 8 wickets.
In the next T20I, Ireland stunned South Africa by 10 runs to level the series 1–1. The team led by Paul Stirling performed better in the match and scored a total of 195 for 6. It was Rose Adair (100) and Paul Stirling (52) who set the tone for the big score in Abu Dhabi. .
Defending the total, the Irish bowlers were troubled by South Africa’s top 3, but thereafter they staged a perfect comeback in the match as the rest of the batsmen could only register single-digit scores. Mark Adair emerged as the top performer with 4 goals, while Graeme Hume scored 3 goals.
