Known for his sharp cricketing insights, Raina looks to capture two of the champions’ most influential players in five – Rohit Sharma and Trent Boult – As they look to rebuild for next season. Raina emphasized the importance of retaining Rohit Sharma, whose captaincy has soared to unprecedented heights. He highlighted how Rohit’s leadership, consistency and tactical acumen have defined their success over the years.
“They have to keep him (Rohit Sharma). He has won a lot of trophies for them.” Star Raina while talking to star sports.
Apart from Rohit, Raina heaped praise on New Zealand pacer Trent Boult, describing him as a “gun player” and someone whose left arm brings unique value to the PACE itself.
“They’ve got to keep him (Trent Boult); he’s a gun player. As a left-arm bowler, that advantage is something you don’t take lightly.” Raina added.

Mumbai Indians 2025 campaign: a season and heights
The 2025 IPL season was a real rollercoaster for MI. The team made a strong comeback, losing four of their first five matches, but winning six straight games to seal the fourth playoff spot with eight wins and six losses.
In the playoffs, it defeated Gujarat Titans in the Eliminator, but there were a few positives after Suryakumar Yadav’s consistent form and Jasprit Bumrah’s injury.
