Indian National Cricket Team legend Sunil Gavaskar has said that star batsman KL Rahul will need some luck for his side in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
Sunil Gavaskar also said that KL Rahul will have no problem performing Down Under in the high-octane five-match Test. series Against the Australian National Cricket Team.

KL Rahul to open for India in Perth Test
The first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between India and Australia will begin on November 22 in Perth.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma will miss the match due to paternity leave and Yashasvi Jaiswal will need a new opening partner.
India have two key options in the squad – Abhimanyu Easwaran and KL Rahul – and both batsmen struggled in the unofficial Tests against Australia A.
According to reports, KL Rahul, due to his experience at the international level, was concluded by Gautam Gambhir-led coaching staff will open with Yashasvi Jaiswal warming the bench despite an exceptional first-class record in the absence of Rohit Sharma and Abhimanyu Easwaran.

Speaking before the opening of the Test series, Sunil Gavaskar stated that Rahul has done a great job for India in overseas Tests and he will have no problem this time as well.
“KL Rahul had one of the best centuries I’ve witnessed opening the batting in South Africa last year, so it won’t be a problem for him to repeat it here.
“Like all batsmen, he will need some luck in the beginning and if he does he can lead the team to a solid opening,” Gavaskar told PTI in an exclusive interview ahead of the series opener.
KL Rahul played a total of 53 Tests for the Indian National Cricket Team and scored 2981 runs at an average of 33.87.

India will win the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy against New Zealand by 0-3. They will be under a lot of pressure as it was the worst home performance by an Indian team in the history of Test cricket.
However, Sunil Gavaskar wants the Men in Blue to forget the series against the Black Caps and focus only on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
“Just as one is taught to forget the previous delivery and focus on the next, so do good teams Forget what happened in the previous test match and focus on the next match.”
“With the experience in this team, I am sure they will guide the youngsters to look at the next team and not think about the previous one,” Gavaskar said.
