It will be Fulton’s debut at Super Featherweight after recently becoming a two-divised world champion, and Brandon Figueroa defeated a unanimous 12-round decision on February 1 to win the WBC Featherweight title. It was Fulton’s second win over Figueroa, and he made it look even easier than their first fight in 2021.
“O’Shaqui Foster and Stephen Fulton agreed to an agreement for a WBC Junior Lightweight title fight. Fulton, the WBC champion at 126 pounds, will move up to 130 pounds. X.
It’s going to be a difficult battle for Foster, because Fulton has excellent skills and has improved in his last struggle. Naoya Inoue and Carlos Castro are the only guys who suffered flexions during his 11-year career in the Pro career. He was knocked out in the eighth round by ‘Monster’ inoue in July 2023 in Tokyo, Japan. Fulton lost its WBC and WBO Super Bantamweight titles in that defeat.
O’Shaqui, 5’8 1/2 ″, will have a high of two inches and reach advantage over 5’6 1/2 ″ Fulton in this battle. It will be one of those battles that can amount to which of the two is the better boxer. None of them have a lot of power.
In the last battle of Foster, he recaptured his 130-pound WBC title last November and defeated Robson Conceicao with a 12-round decision. He lost his WBC belt to Brazilian Conceicao by a questionable decision of 12 round last year in July. After the defeat, Foster complained bitterly and believed that he had done enough to win.
What gave foster problems in his two battles with Conceicao was his activity and aggressiveness. He put the action in both fights and used the use of Foster’s habit of fighting in Spurts.
