O’Shaqui Foster against Stephen Fulton is discussed for the under map of the Gervonta Davis against Lamont Roach 2 Rematch. Fulton (23-1, 8 COs) would go up to challenge Foster (23-3, 12 COs) for his WBC Super Featherweight title in an attempt to become a three-divised world champion.
Fulton, 30, recently deprived WBC springweight champion Brandon Figueroa to become a world champion of two divisions on February 1.
Davis Undercard
Brunch box reported that Fulton is in talks against the Tank Davis Tank Davis against Lamont Roach 2 card. If this happens, it would be an excellent addition to the map. For fans who enjoy watching defensive fighters, they will be glad to mix Fulton and Foster.
O’Shaqui Foster, 31, recently regained his WBC Super Featherweight title in his Rematch against Robson Conceicao, and won a 12-round decision on December 2 in Verona, New York. It was a very questionable victory for O’Shaqui because Conceicao surpassed him and landed the better shots.
Foster lost his WBC belt against Olympic gold medalist Conceicao in 2016 in their previous fight on July 6 last year in Newark, New Jersey. After the loss, O’Shaqui complained uninterrupted and said he deserves the victory and doesn’t hold on it.
He seems to be a classic example of a sore loser in pure denial. At least with Conceicao he showed class and took his controversial 12-round division loss in the re-broadcast without crying about the outcome and a childlike pace. Foster lost both fights, but the judges gave him in the re -broadcast. The problem is that he is too defensive, and always wants to withdraw when he is attacked by his opponents.
It was a disaster to put him and Shakur Stevenson on the same map, because the supporters started sponsoring the Prudential Center early. Those who stayed were like crazy, as if he had never seen one of these guys.
Rematch riddle
It is unclear whether Fulton will return to the 126-pound division to regain his WBC spring weight title as he defeats Foster. With the Japanese star Naoya inoue It is expected to go to the featherweight division soon, and it makes sense for Stephen to return to the weight class.
Inoue, Fulton destroyed in a effortless eighth round two years ago on July 25, 2023. It is possible that when Naoya moves to 126, he will ignore Fulton and consider it useless to run it back.
If the only reason for Fulton returning to the featherweight division is the hope of getting a second payday against the Japanese star, he must forget about it and stay at 130 if he wins against O’shaguies.
