After over a week of equipment, we finally made it to our final stop on our Tour de Force golf equipment with Cleveland/Srixon at the Navy Golf Course in Cypress, California.
Our six hitters have learned a lot about their bags and their games, but there was still a lot to learn with Srixon balls and irons and Cleveland wedges.
Johnny Wunder thought he had settled on a golf ball until he started hitting Srixon Z-Star Diamond ball.
What’s unique about Srixon’s line of three Tour-level golf balls is that it’s not just a spin ball and a no-spin ball. The three balls can perform in the bag very differently, allowing you to choose which features you want to focus on.
Srixon Z-STAR DIAMOND golf balls
Z-STAR Series Whether you’re chasing major championships or your next personal best, the all-new Z-STAR Series is the choice for serious players everywhere. Featuring redesigned cores and covers across the board, this generation of Z-STAR golf balls offers increased distance, optimized spin and tournament-level stopping power around the green. It’s a formula designed to give you one thing: pure performance when it matters most. With a blend of greenside control and long game distance, the new Z-STAR ♦ DIAMOND also offers the unique benefit of increased spin on long and mid-iron shots.

Meanwhile, Jake also found fit with a Srixon ball, but the firmer Z-Star XV, something he was surprised by.
Wadeh was looking at the top of his iron set, already playing the company one ZXi5 and ZXi7 models. Now he’s looking to replace that 4-iron with a ZXiU iron to get an easier launch and higher flight. He already had a ZXiU 2-iron and now the 4-iron allows him to potentially have Srixon’s VT sole throughout the bag.
Maddi is also looking at the company’s ZXi5 and ZXi5 ZXiR as she continued to work through different shafts and weights, eventually settling on 90g steel shafts, the heaviest options she tried all week.
I got to try all the different options for Cleveland’s RTZ wedges, which have a super soft feel with the new Z-Alloy, but the company has yet to release a new wedge since the return of legendary founder Roger Cleveland.
Meanwhile, Sean completed his indoctrination into the world of gear by working through another set of irons, discovering that he definitely came with the wrong irons. Now which ones end up in his bag?
While the Fully Fit gauntlet ends here, there’s still plenty more to come. Stay tuned.
