The sources have revealed it Caught offside that Real Madrid are increasingly confident of signing Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold next summer.
The England international is nearing the end of his contract at Anfield, and while a final decision on his future has yet to be made, there seems to be optimism from the Madrid end about this deal.
Caught offside understand that both Liverpool and Real Madrid have made contract offers for Alexander-Arnoldwith both clubs offering four-year deals plus the option of a fifth.
It may be a while before we hear Alexander-Arnold’s final decision, though It really feels safe to get this deal after putting in a lot of work to secure a top-flight signing at right-back.
Real Madrid also want a new left-back signing
As well as Alexander-Arnold, Los Blancos are also looking to strengthen at left-back and have some big names in their sights in that position as well.
Another player who could be a free agent in the summer is Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, although there is now a sense that this deal is slipping away from Real Madrid, with the Canada international increasingly open to signing a new deal at the Allianz Arena.

The Frenchman is another top player who could certainly strengthen this Madrid side, and it would be an excellent summer if they could bring in both him and Alexander-Arnold as new full-backs.

Alexander-Arnold has been a star player for LFC since coming through the club’s academy, and would surely play a big part in their future plans, so the club will surely do everything possible to prevent a transferred to the Bernabéu.
