Son celebrates Tottenham’s win with his teammates.
Tottenham shocked the Premier League on Saturday afternoon as Ange Postecoglou’s side hammered Man City 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium and captain Son Heung-min was delighted with his centre-backs.
Spurs were without their starting centre-backs Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero heading into the Premier League clash in Manchester and that was one of the main reasons for many predicting an easy win for Pep Guardiola’s men earlier from the beginning
Postecoglou opted to play Ben Davies and Radu Dragusin at center back and the duo did incredibly to keep out Man City and Erling Haaland, earning a clean sheet to leave the Etihad with all three points.
The Romanian’s performance was even more impressive given that he has been related to an exit from the last few weekswhile Davies also set his sights on leaving the Premier League giants in the summer.
Tottenham’s defense has been a major concern for Postecoglou all season, as the Australian manager’s style of play has kept the north London outfit in the majority of games, keeping just three clean sheets clean sheet after 12 league games.
That explains why Son was so happy after Spurs were kept clean against Man City and the Tottenham captain was seen having a healthy moment with Davies and Dragusin after the game as the South Korean star put his arms around the central duo.
