On Going Pro!

Cooper Lutkenhaus had quite the extraordinary year in 2025. First, he broke the American youth record for the men’s 800 meters, then he broke the under-18 world record and the American under-20 record.

When RunBlogRun spoke with Cooper on Monday, October 27, Cooper had just finished the first day of his two-a-day training session. He was tired.

This is an excerpt from a lengthy interview that focused on Cooper’s passing and signing with NIKE.
