Turki Alalshikh says he plans for Naoya Inoue to defend his undisputed Super Bantamweight Championship on December 27 in the main event against #1 WBC Alan Picasso. He says all the matches on the map would be ‘big fights’ between Japanese and Mexican fighters.
Inoue vs. Picasso: Fight Analysis
There is not much interest in the defense of Inoue against 24-year-old Picasso (31-0, -1 17 food) in December or any time in the future. Picasso seems to be another example of a fighter with a 100% bloated resume, which should be nowhere near the number 1 place.
Of course, this is the WBC, so it makes sense when you consider the whole picture. In fact, Picasso is a talent -wise on the lower level.
For Turki’s vision to take place, ‘Monster’ Inoue (30-0, 27 COs) still has to win his next battle against the WBA-Tussentim interim champion of 122 pounds Murodjon akhmadaliev On September 14 in Tokyo, Japan.
Displayed inoue’s age?
It is not a given that inoue (32) will overcome, because we have seen him fall hard in his last fight against Ramon Cardenas on May 4 in Las Vegas. Naoya took many large shots from Cardenas, and might have been knocked out if Ramon did not continue to retreat to the ropes to rest.
The battle showed that Inoue’s age began to crawl up at him. If Akhmadaliev can get his hands on inoue early, he has a chance to strike him out and deprive him.

“On December 27, we have the Master, the Right Master. We have Inoue. We think now, and we are close to the end of Inoue against (#1 WBC rankings Alan) Picasso as the most important event,” Turki Alalshikh said to the Ring Magazine Youtube channel. “All tickets will be big fights, the biggest battles between Japan and Mexico.”
