Tennis Masters Series a turf war over the tournament’s most valuable real estate.
Throughout his career, Jannik the Sinner has struggled to stake a claim at the Rolex Paris Masters.
Today the sinners were squeezed Zizou Bergs right outside the neighborhood.

Hovering around the baseline like a house inspector, Sinner swept Bergs 6-4, 6-2 in his Paris opener today.
It’s Sinner’s 22nd straight indoor hard court victory, coming three days after he rallied for second place. Alexander Zverev 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 to win his 22nd career championship in Vienna on Sunday.
Although Sinner held championship points before bowing out Carlos Alcaraz in a thrilling final at Roland Garros in June, neither world has had much success this Paris Indoors.
yesterday, Cameron Norrie upset a struggling Alcaraz 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Today, Sinner scored his second career victory at the Paris Masters.
The second-ranked sinner could pass Alcaraz for the no. 1 in the world if he wins the Paris title on Sunday. Even if he doesn’t rule Paris, Sinner is eager to set himself up to launch his title defense at the ATP Finals in Turin next month, posting his sixth straight win at Tour level to improve to 49-6 on the season.

Applying pressure from the first game, Sinner dragged Bergs through a physical 13-minute ordeal. Conquering a forehand return winner for a fifth break point, Sinner broke for a 1-0 lead when Bergs netted a forehand to end a 13-minute battle.
About 90 seconds later, the Wimbledon winner took a 2-0 lead.
Stretching out on the baseline, Sinner often forced back even deep moves from the rising Bergs.
Sinner served a competitive opening of 51 minutes in 30.
The sophomore Sinner served 72 percent and won 20 of his 25 service points. After shedding that physical 13-minute opener to end a break, Bergs played a quality opening set that showed versatility and consistency.
The Belgian saved six of seven break points in the first set, but the resistance hit a roadblock to start the second set.
Although Bergs hit an ace to save his eighth break point of the match, he let a pass slip and crashed when he landed on the line to face a third break point to start the second set.
Slashing an inside-out wing, Sinner stepped forward to block a volley from the front to make it 1-0.
The four-time Grand Slam champion backed up the break at 15 for 2-0.
Sinner spent the rest of the set commanding the center of the court as he served out his opening game in one hour and 27 minutes.
What. A. Period! 🙌

Next up for Sinner is a showdown. Francisco Cerundolowho cut them off Miomir Kecmanovic 7-5, 1-6, 7-6(4). Cerundolo hit 14 aces and saved seven of 11 break points in a two-hour, 26-minute victory.
The 24-year-old Sinner is 3-2 lifetime against Cerundolo although both of the Argentine’s wins have come at this Masters 1000 level. Cerundolo beat Sinner at the 2023 Rome and 2022 Miami Masters 1000.
