Checking your distance from the Greenside bunkers can be challenging for the average player. Of course, most of us know how to hit a bunker stroke that comes up and landing softly, but after adding some distances, things can become complicated.

How to improve your long bunker shooting
Setting up for a standard stroke of the Greenside bunker is something we all know. Ball slightly forward in your stay, weight on your front leg, open club, etc. But as recreation players need a little more distance in these shots, they begin to make different compensation.
As it turns out, this is completely unnecessary. To get more distance, all you have to do is get a little more club – and you can use the same configuration.
“You can hit a number of clubs different from a Greenside bunker,” Knost says. “I will make the same configuration for each blow.”
Knost explains that as he progresses to clubs with less attic from the bunker, it usually results in a blow flying seven or eight meters more. So, if his 60 -degree shooting from the bunker flies 15 yards, his 56 -degree wedge will fly about 23 yards, while his 50 -degree wedge will fly 30 yards. The only thing that changes is the club in his hands. Its setting and shaking are exactly the same.
“Believe me, do that.” Knost says. “The same rhythm. Different lofts. Different shots. It will help your bunker game.”
