“Sign up or lose tonight”: Thurman’s aggressive contract question to the corner Tim Tszyu

Keith Thurman went on social media today and requested Tim Tszyu to send him a contract for his next battle. He wants it to be sent tonight so he can sign it.

Tonight’s tactics

There is a strategy behind this step. The bad, old ‘one-time’ Thurman, 36, is pressing Tszyu (25-2, 18 COs) to make the fight before he can look in another direction to a more profitable match against Sebastian Fundora or Errol Spence. Keith uses an old salesman -trick in the hope that Tim is gullible.

Tszyu has to wait until he and his team see the best deal. Fighting Thurman won’t do much for Tim’s legacy. He would be better to avenge his loss of fundora or take a greater money fight against the more popular Errol Spence.

Thurman never gained the kind of fame he could have because he became a part -time fighter after his grueling battle with Danny Garcia in 2017. Thurman has only fought four times since the fight in the past eight years. It is pathetic.

If Tszyu goes in a different direction, Thurman will be forced to wait, agate more and put it on the shelf until he is free. If Tim follows the next battle, there is a good chance that he will lose against Fundora, resulting in a longer waiting time for Thurman. With Keith as inactive and aged as he is now, he can’t afford to wait.

Last Saturday, former WBO junior middleweight champion Tszyu Joey Spencer (19-2, 11 COs) knocked out in the fourth round in the Newcastle Entertainment Center, in Newcastle, Australia. The fight was designed as a pickup for Tim to boost his confidence after being blown out in three rounds in a loss to the IBF 154-Pond Champion Bakhram Murtazaliev on October 19 in Orlando, Florida.

Tszyu did not know what he had grabbed himself when he fought that battle, and by the time he discovered what he was facing, it was too late. The fight was basically over after the first knock in round two. Tszyu never recovered from the left hook Murtazaliev dropped in that round. He knocked down Tim three times before the fight was stopped in the third round.

The contract fall

“Congratulations, Tim Tszyu. I see you came through with the starter. I came through with mine (Brock Jarvis). I got him in three. I took him out in four, ‘Keith Thurman said social mediaSend a message to Tim Tszyu after his win over Joey Spencer last Saturday night in Australia.

“I don’t know about you, boy, but I’m still hungry. Send the contract. Send the contract. I’ll sign it tonight. I promise you, I will come to Australia and give you a good fight. Let’s go, ‘said Thurman.
