Shubman Gill produced a sensational effort with the bat in the ongoing third Test against New Zealand. The batsman produced one of his best knocks in the longest format of the game and made sure to keep his team in the hunt.
Coming to ball number 3, Gill saved the rest for the team when the wickets fell in an instant from the other end. The right-handed defender showed solid defense and also made some sharp shots that put pressure on the batsmen and brought the team back into the game.

“One of my best Test knocks. Having a consistent mindset when playing spinners. We were trying to put them under pressure. We were having fun. If we keep hitting them, it’s hard for bowlers to bowl consistently.”

Shubman Gill revealed that he has been working on his game ahead of the England series where he revealed about his conversations with Gautam Gambhir and said that he has had a great year and is very confident about the game. He added:
“I worked on my game before the England series. I didn’t really get much time due to injury. I got some net sessions before the Pune Test. The talks with the coach were to repeat the drills more. I was confident going into this game.
Shubman Gill skips rich run of form in Tests 2024. He has crossed the 800-run mark in 10 Tests and will be extremely important for his team going forward.
