Is a rabbit hole on YouTube a good place to find shaky tips?

Instruction on the Internet is all rage, but is it the best place to learn? As our legends agree in Podcast, the rabbit hole is worth researching. (Maybe.)
Gary McCord: Peter, something crazy is happening in golf: Guide to YouTube Video. Once you start looking, you can’t stop. Is a rabbit hole.
Peter heard: At one time, teachers had lived by teaching true lessons. Now, there are new methods, essentially driven by marketing and money. And because people are earning money, they are putting on random tips there, however the average golf player has a 0.002 percent chance to choose the right tip for their problem.
Gm: yes
Pk: Gary, I go online, generally with a glass of red wine and night, and look at these things. I will say now: 10 percent of it is good, 10 percent of it is good enough and 30 percent will certainly not do any harm. The rest? Just miserable. You end up get a glow of hope until you get there and hit balls and then realize that these things don’t work.
Gm: Then where do you go from here? Are we stuck in a “fast adjustment” mentality for good?
Pk: Likes like those ads that say you can lose 20 pounds next week. In golf, it’s done Earn 20 yard tomorrow. Gosh, if I could do that, I would play on the tournament, even my age!
Gm: One thing I did from YouTube golf lessons – and it really helped me restructure my swinging – were things from Mac O’Grady. This is good things.
Pk: There are many ways to learn a motor skill, like swinging a golf club. The two main ones are visual and kinesthetic. Looking, seeing and feeling. And so do you play Golf, right? You use your eyes and your feeling and out you go. So I have no problem with people looking for. I have a bunch of Sam Snead sequences (in the picture) on my phone. I love his swinging. Watching shakes is a great way to learn. While you really can’t copy them, I think it’s best to imitate their flow, rhythm and no effort. Simply suck. If you improve the rhythm of your swing, you can improve many different things. This is where I think the Internet really does the best for the average player. Look at Nicklaus. Weiscopf. Hogan
Gm: subscribe
Pk: One can tell you what you are doing wrong. Only some people can tell you what to do it is right. This is what makes a teacher excellent. If learning on youtube is your thing, at least ask about to choose what is good and what not.
Gm: Is a new world. In the meantime, I will continue down the Rabbit Hole on YouTube. I’m obsessed.
