Shelton is now the first American man to reach the last eight in Canada and Cincinnati in the same season since Mardy Fish in 2012.
“I’m hungry. I’m in a good pace,” Shelton Jill Craybas told court after his victory when asked about the key to his last erection. “I think confidence along with not being satisfied, wanting to try myself over and over again every time I am in court, and having things I want to be better is a big motive for me and that drives me every match.”
