This week, the LPGA Tour has been removing it in Mexico for the first time since 2017, and a player who is particularly excited to be in Mexico Riviera Maya Open in Mayakoba Fiel Maria Fassi.

“Very happy to be playing at home this week,” she said before starting the tournament. “The first time in Mexico as a professional, so it’s a very week, very special to me.”

Fassi said she expected a number of family members and friends to be in place to watch her game this week – some of whom would see her compete for the first time. But after a 75s of the first round on Thursday, the prospects of making the weekend seemed in doubt.

But on Friday, with the cut, the fassi remained stable, balanced her rods with birds of birds to reach the 17th, even on the same day, three in general, and one shot in front of the line. Then – some bad luck. The Fasssi show found a divotine, resulting in a bad noise. The fassi fell to four over the general-— on the line-with only the 1 18 remaining hole. Fans found the green in the regulation and had two strokes to stand on the right side of the cut.

It was then that Fassi said she channeled some setting tips she had asked for a week ago from a quartet of LPGA legends. After missing an indispensable blow in the last hole of her open -time women’s qualification in the US last week to lose a guaranteed place in the Major, Fassi arrived at Annika Sorenstam, Stacy Lewis, Lorena Ochoa and Angela Stanford, asking: “You had to do a lot of shots in your life?”

Fassi received answers from each player, and while she did not reveal the specifics of what they said, the fassi drained her luggage at 18 to 18 chameleon On Friday, beating the cut by one and scoring her ticket for the weekend of the game, making her the only eighth Mexican player on the field to do so.

“Closing with that bird in front of the crowds, was, yes, very exciting and special to me,” Fassi said. “In the open qualifier last week I had a similar one in the last hole; lost it,” she said. “So I had sent Texted Annika, Angela Stanford and Lorena and Stacy Lewis, I asked them, hey, you guys had to make a lot of blows in your life. What do you do differently?

“Everyone gave me their opinion and perspective on things. I feel like I put all their advice in a blender and executed properly on 18, so I’m very happy to have all four in my corner. I respect them as people, because the players. Yes, I just knew I had to take an extra couple of deep.”

Despite what happens on Sunday in Mexico Riviera Maya Open in Mayakoba, Fassi has more good news to wait. On Tuesday, she learned that she entered the next week of Open women.

“Very, very relieved, very excited,” she said. “There was a lot of work in the qualification to get to this position even. So, yes, just too much, very happy to get the news and I can enjoy the week a little more now.”
