It’s great news for Indian cricket fans that bowler Shardul Thakur is back on the field after a successful surgery in London. Thakur underwent ankle surgery on June 12 and has been out of competitive cricket ever since.
Shardul Thakur’s return is a big boost to India’s stock ahead of a long Test season where they will play 10 Tests against three quality teams over the next four months. The latest is the Test series against Bangladesh at home starting on September 19 in Chennai.

Shardul Thakur returns after four months of surgery
On his return, Shardul Thakur turned up with the KSCA Secretary’s XI against Mumbai in the Dr (Capt) K Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. However, he didn’t have a great match but looked in decent form ahead of a busy red ball season.
