Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Shan Masood had a poor effort in the field which let his team down in the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The second match of the series between the teams is being played at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
second test match between Pakistan National Cricket Team and Bangladesh National Cricket Team stand equally. Both teams are fighting hard to win the game and it is fair to say that the upcoming 4th day of play will decide who will take the winner.
Pakistan National Cricket Team put up a sensational effort with the ball after going all out for 274 runs. Khurram Shahzad disrupted the batting order of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team and picked the first wickets to bowl the opposition team at 26/6.
Khurram Shahzad picked 6 wickets in the game but was denied the 7th wicket which was done by captain Shan Masood. It was a sloppy effort on the field as he bowled the easiest catch to give Pakistan captain Hasan Mahmood a reprieve.
On the 4th ball of the 75th over, Khurram Shahzad hit a good length and on the stumps. Hasan Mahmood was at the start of the innings when he closed the face of the bat and got a leading edge to the left of cover where Shan Masood was situated.
The ball came down and Shan Masood got both hands on it before grazing it. He dropped the catch and was extremely frustrated with his teammates. Pacer Khurram Shahzad along with Abrar Ahmed looked distraught as they couldn’t believe what was happening.

Thankfully, the drop didn’t cost Pakistan much as they picked quick wickets thereafter and bundled out the Bangladesh National Cricket Team for 262 runs. Despite being 26/6, it was a stunning effort from their end as they went close to the hosts’ account.
Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz added a 165-run partnership for the 7th wicket and ensured Bangladesh National Cricket Team came back into the game. Das scored 138 runs while Mehidy Hasan Miraz finished with 78 runs.
However, Pakistan got off to a poor start in the second innings. They lost Abdullah Shafiq and Khurram Shahzad. When in form, Saim Ayub bats at 6*. On Day 3, the hosts were 12 runs ahead of the opposition on the tracks and were hoping to put a big target on the board.
Captain Shan Masood would be eager to strike with the bat. The left-hander hit a half-century and scored 57 runs in the first innings. He would be hoping to carry his good form and help the team win. If Pakistan lose the second game as well, Masood will have to wait longer for his first win as Pakistan captain.
