A Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) selection panel member has confirmed the development about Shakib Al Hasan missing the West Indies series. He told Cricbuzz: “He (Shakib) is not available for the ODIs against West Indies and we have prepared our squad accordingly,
Another BCB official came up with a shocking revelation saying that Shakib Al Hasan is not in a good mental state and they don’t feel the all-rounder is fit to play. Speaking to Cricbuzz, he explained:
“Given his current mental state, we felt that Shakib was not fit to play. Playing for a cricket franchise is not the same as representing the national team.”
Shakib Al Hasan will play for Galle Marvels in the Lanka T10 League during the ODI series against West Indies.

Bangladesh National Cricket Team will announce the squad soon but they are waiting for medical reports on Najmul Hossain and Towhid Hridoy before finalizing. The duo are recovering from groin injuries but BCB are hopeful that they will play some part in the series.
The ODI series between the teams will be played in St. Kitts on December 8, 10 and 12, followed by St. Kitts on December 15, 17 and 19. Vincent will host three T20Is.
