Seven last-second withdrawals have led to an open draw in Ningbo, China this week.
Anastasia Potapova (GI disease), Ekaterina Alexandrova (right shoulder injury), Emma Navarro (disease), Jasmine Paolini (Left leg injury), Luidmila Samsonova (undetected), Yafan Wang (WC) (lower back injury) and Zheng Qinwen all have been drawn from the 28-player field, giving seven lucky losers a chance to make a splash in a WTA 500 draw.
Barbora Krejcikovaranked fourth, is the highest ranked player remaining in the draw.
The Czech will face Lucky Loser Yexin Ma in the second round.
with the fifth seed Daria Kasatkina and with the eighth seed Paula Badosa have already reached the quarterfinals, together with Yulia Putintseva and Mirra Andreeva.

Ma and lucky loser Jaqueline Cristian (who replaced the second Zheng) are the only lucky losers still left in the draw. Cristian will face Karolina Muchova on Thursday.
