Mykal Fox says he will use his height advantage over the former WBC -Tussentage junior middleweight champion Serhii Bohachuk in their fight next month on May 17 in Los Angeles.
The 6’3 ″ Fox (24-4-5 COs) was selected as the opponent for Bohachuk (25-2, 24 COs) for their fellow battle. Fox says it’s his debut on 154, and he considers Serhii the top of the list of fighters he faced.
It is a difficult battle for Mykal (29) to move in weight because he does not have the power or the track record to say that it is a winning battle.
Bohachuk is at the tip of 1 WBC at 154, and his only defeats have against Vergil Ortiz Jr. Came by a questionable decision of 12 round last year and Brandon Adams through an eighth round in 2021.
‘I’m about to tackle a former interim world champion in my 154 debut. Right now it was beaten Serhii Bohachuk. I don’t know if it’s going to be a one -time. We will see how my body feels on a fancy. I don’t make too many plans until I finish him, ‘Mykal Fox said Millcity BoxingTalk about whether he will return to the Welterweight section after facing Serhii Bohachuk on May 17.
Fox’s height plan
“He can fight. He has long arms and loves to exert pressure. Some of its benefits, I can handle. His length and everything, he’s not going to have the benefits. He does have a tremendous skill.
Bohachuk’s push of Bohachuk is what Fox has to do with. He doesn’t mention it in this interview, but that’s the biggest problem. He will be hit hard by Bohachuk, and he has better power than someone he has in the pro ranks.
“This one is definitely at the highest,” Mykal said when asked where he judged Bohachuk with all the guys he had fought before. “He was a world champion or an interim world champion. This is definitely the biggest name on my resume. He is the number 1 on the list. ‘

Battle distribution
“He showed off (Ortiz), we all hit hard here,” said Fox about Bohachuk’s fight against Vergil Ortiz Jr. On August 10 last year. “He is (Vergil jr.) A big guy, but at 154 it balances a little more. We’re going to be in LA.
“I think he’s going to come out and apply a lot of pressure. Probably a little more pressure than he used to, because he has to get a little closer. I have a four inch lead above him. So much of what he normally does, he might have to sell out a little to close a little more distance.
“He is a competent fighter, but the plan is to run him in some big counter-stamps. If I can get him on the middle series, I can take advantage of, ‘says Fox about Bohachuk.
