Sergio Mora calls on Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis to fight against Israil Madrimov in the 154 -pound debut: a daring move for a statement from a statement?

Sergio Mora says Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis should fight former WBA junior middleweight champion Israil Madrimov in his debut on 154 in August or September. He believes that Ennis (34-0, 30 COs) can make a statement to the division if he defeats Madrimov (10-2-1, 7 COs).

Boots move from 147 in weight because it has become too difficult for him to make weight in the section. Mora wants Ennis to fight, like Madrimov, so he can receive credit.

Why Madrimov for Ennis?

“I think he can send a big message to the entire junior middleweight division if he chases behind Israel Madrimov, a man who knocked Over Vergil Ortiz Jr.. It was 115-113 on two judges’ scorecards,” Sergio Mora told Chris Mannix Youtube channeL on whom Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis should fight if he makes his debut on 154 in August or September.

Hearn’s Ennis debut plans

Fans, fighters and the media will be impressed if Ennis Madrimov beats. To really send a message, however, boots will like Bakhram Murtazaliev, Vergil Ortiz Jr. And Sebastian Fundora must beat. There is little chance that Ennis’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, will dare to fit him against one of the fighters in his first fight in the 154-pound division. Hearn has already said he wants to bring Ennis to a gatekeeper.

“He gave Crawford a handful where two judges had it 115-113. I think if he (Ennis) can get up and actually hit a fighter like Madrimov and even stop, who has never stopped before, he can send a message and all eyes will be on him,” Mora said.

Madrimov fought well enough to earn a decision against Crawford, although they are unlikely to have given it to him. The plans were already underway for Crawford to fight against Canelo when Israil fought him last August. So there was no chance that Madrimov would win a decision and destroy the plans. Most importantly, he fought well enough to beat Crawford. If he can do it against him, he can beat Ennis, which is not as talented as Terence.

Madrimov’s skills and power

“It will be something difficult to do, but Madrimov has better feet than most junior middle weights. And he has the experience, the Olympic background. He has the power. Now, it’s a must-win with back-to-back losses,” Mora said. “It was close losses, but he still has back-to-back LS on his record,” Mora said about Israil Madrimov. “I think Madrimov makes a lot of sense for many reasons.”

Madrimov is better than most fighters at 154, but that’s what makes him a bad choice for Ennis to fight in his debut at 154. It will not be the stationary Eimantas Stanionis that Jaron will fight. Madrimov will use movement, and its technical skills are just as good as boots’. He is also a dangerous puncher, especially with the loose shots he throws on top of his opponent. It is a punch that used Gennadiy Golovkin to achieve knockouts. Madrimov learned to use the same punch to hurt his opponents.

“For a fighter like boots, it will fight someone anywhere. Not only that. There were a lot of talk about boots that one day fighting against Bud. This is the closest you will fetch by making a statement against a man who couldn’t really handle everything,” Mora said.

Ennis won’t get much credit from fans if he knocks Madrimov because of his record of 0-2 in his last two fights. There is nothing to earn by fighting against him, and much to lose. Eddie Hearn predicted that Ennis would be a nightmare for someone at 154 now that he didn’t have to drain himself to make 147. But if Ennis looks weak against Madrimov, it will expose him if he is never as good as he has built up.

The risk of fighting Madrimov

“If he can knock Madrimov, he will send a message to everyone, including Bud,” says Mora. “Boots are moving up, and he will find it difficult to shine. It will be very difficult for him to win a championship there and also one day unite. ‘

Considering how many problems in his re -broadcast with Karen Chukhadzhian, he could lose against Madrimov. Ennis looked awful in the second battle against Chukhadzhian, because he was conceived again and even sometimes eliminated. Karen couldn’t miss with his potshots from the outside. If he could do, Madrimov could do much more because he had power.
