“In our initial discussions about reimaging and setting up the SH.BA double -selected double championship, we wanted to find a way to display the best men and women in the world competing with and against each other, and we were sure we would be able to get the best players in the game,” “Seeing the teams that have already placed their names on the list of entrances makes us all very excited. This shows that the players are behind what we are trying to do, and we know that fans will love it.”
Last August, Tsisisipas and Badosa celebrated what the Greek called “one of the most delightful nights of the date I might have asked for” when they won the inaugural exhibition of the US Open Mixed Madness.
Tssessidosa overcame a talented field presented by Naomi Osaka and Nick Kyrgios, Amanda Animova and Taylor Fritz and Coco Gauff and Ben Shelton with $ 250,000 in front of the line.
The Italian duo of Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassor defeated Taylor Townsend and Donald Young to win the double mixed championship of 2024 US Open. The Italian Pairift also defeated Townsend and Evan King earlier this month to win doubles Roland Garros. The finalist of the Errani and Wimbledon Jasmine Paolini are the royal champion of the Olympic doubles.

Supporters of the new mixed double format say this is the ideal way to give mixed doubles, which is often overlooked in Flushing Meadows, its platform to gain its attention with coverage from ESPN and international transmission rights holders.
Critics say let’s call this what it is: it’s Usta’s last attempt to get into a new stream of revenue from her cash cow that is US Open. Critics say it is about selling more tickets (although Fan’s week is free, mixed doubles in the US Open will require paid paid participation) and part of USTA’s biggest goal to last open to a three-week tour with more paid sessions, more parking and concession sales to earn more money.
Usta says this is about “raising” mixed doubles and not for a money catch.
“US Open has long tried to find innovative and new ways to make the game more accessible and entertaining for our fans,” said Stacey Alaster, the director of the US Open Tournament, ahead of her US Open. “We believe that this mixed double championship in the US will make it exactly with the best men and women in tennis racing side by side in a fast, very competitive format.
“Being able to transfer this event to a place where it is able to get on the central stage was very important, and with our fully bought partners, more fans than ever before, both in the US and around the globe, will be able to enjoy this extraordinary competition.”
