Scottie Scheffler has made again. For his second right year, he left with the victory in the commemorative tournament. Add the village of Muirfield to the growing list of courses where Scheffler does not compete alone, it prevails. We took a closer look at what changed in his bag since last year’s victory. The adjustments are delicate, but when you are playing like Scottie Scheffler, would you change a lot?

What has changed since 2024
The most obvious update in Scheffler configuration is the removal of Srixon ZU85 (3) in favor of a Taylormade Qi35 7-Dru (21 °).
This is a large shift for a player which usually relies on a more traditional iron composition. When he won the 2024 commemorative tournament, he had both 3 and a 4 Srixon ZU85.
7-Drur (from design) offers more height, rotation and forgiveness. With many benefits that add 7-Dru in recent years, it is not surprising to see Scheffler following that trend.

He has also updated his 60 -degree wedge, moving from Vokey SM8 to Wedgeworks Model SM10. It is a small change but the SM10 Wedgeworks line is one of the most reliable options in the tournament. These wedges are known for the correct rotation and single versatility.

Outside the wedge and 7-drat, the only other changes were some changes in drivers and wooden attic. Scheffler chose not to update in the QI35 model in driver or 3-dru. He increased the attic on his driver to 8.25 degrees, from 8. 3-Duri is arranged at 14.75 degrees from 15.
These are appropriate changes, not major changes, but they can adjust the starting windows and rotation rates, which can be particularly important in a required composition like Muirfield Village.
Scheffler stays stable – because it’s working
While there are some changes, the biggest story can be how little it has changed.
His handcuffs, putter and ball remain intact. So does his general approach. And, indeed, who can argue with that?
Scheffler continues to deliver week after week, with a bag that looks almost identical to last season. After becoming the first player since Tiger Woods in 2000 to win back-back in the memorial, comparisons between Scheffler and Woods appear to grow loudly for the week.
Different winds, different styles, but one thing is the same thing: when you are playing so, there is no need to follow the changes of equipment.
