Scottie Scheffler took the lead in Houston Open by matching the record of the Memorial Park course on Friday.

It’s been nearly four months since World no. 1 Scottie Scheffler The last one raised a trophy on the hero World Challenge, and more than six months since he won the tournament championship in East Lake.
Scheffler has spent the first quarter of the 2025 season starting a disappointing return from Hand injury He continued during the holidays. In five tours this year, Scheffler posted only two Top 10. Today was a day where I felt like my ball hit could have been a little better and I was able to throw some strokes,” Scheffler said after his round. “I hit a lot of greens, but I felt like my handcuffs were just barely, and I felt like I could be hitting a little closer to the hole, but generally kept it in green, I continued to give myself a look.
“The way I was settling, I didn’t feel I had to force there with many pins if I was not completely satisfied with the blow, good results.”
Houston Open Host Course Memorial It seems to be a comfortable fit for Scheffler. He has two racing conclusions-and one T9 in his last three appearances, and has never ended worse than T32 in five total appearances.
A win on Sunday would mark his first 2025 season, and the 14th of his career in PGA Tour.
