Hello friends and happy Tuesday by Royal Portrush! After a long day trip on Monday I officially did it in my first Championship. I flew to Dublin and led to portray with my associates, but not before I stopped in Holywood, Rory Mcilroy’s hometown, for a coffee, a croissant and a walk. We could not have arrived on a more perfect weather day, so we were sure to dive in every last minute before the sun set.
Neighborhood
After walking around the city on Monday evening, we went out for dinner at the Port Hotel, where I started my weekly trip to remove myself IN to beer.
As you can see, that effort is not going especially well. After dinner, we went on a walk in the sun and discovered a few points to grab the ice cream later during the week.

I know it’s early, but my favorite thing so far is how the city makes me feel like I’m again on a college camp. The golf world is very small, so we continue to clash with friends wherever we go. Our 20-minute course on the course every morning feels like you walk in the classroom. Our group of five are everyone holding back while we get some friends along the way. I have seen agents, players, cadds and other media members on the sidewalk making the same trip as us, and it is as if we have transplanted our small golf community in northern Ireland for this week.
Ode for players across the Portrush
There are art, murals and various knots for professional players across Portrait. Many shops have images of Rory Mcilroy in their windows, and there are famous murals of Shane Lowry Right from entering the city.
A coffee shop and ice cream even went so far as to change his name for the week, and they were also created with their menu.
I will not lie: It took me a minute to realize that Matchakawa was named after Collin Morikawa.
A walk with northern Irish
After grabbing the credentials, I settled in the media center and ate a quick breakfast, addressed with my associate and Paul, Dylan Dethier, to follow the group of northern Irish who left early in the morning. Rory Mcilroy, Darren Clen and Tom McKibbin had massive crowds since the start of the day.
Something I will say I have noticed very quickly is how polite new fans are. I am used to listening to kids roar requests in players at other events, looking for autographs, golf balls and sometimes even clothing. Here, they politely (and really quite quiet) say things like: “Excuse me Mr. Mcilroy! Will you please sign this?” Ways – it’s refreshing!
Dear Royal Portrarian so far!*
However, some of the walks here (such as what is seen in the latest photo) remind me of many international high school courses and therefore let me feel wildly worried about absolutely no reason pic.twitter.com/rzstzevhln

Scottie Scheffler print
After our morning walk around nine back, I headed back to the media center for Scottie Scheffler press conferenceAnd I’m very happy to do. I entered the press thinking about golf and I left thinking about life.
Scheffler talked about how high the golf moments are, and how he often finds himself looking for why After all. Here were two of my favorite lines from the whole thing:
“You win it. You celebrate. Get to hug my family. My sister there is such an amazing moment. Then it’s like, well, what are we going to eat for dinner? Life goes on.”
“We work so hard for such small moments. I’m a sick kind; I like to work. I like to go into practice. I like to live out my dreams. But at the end of the day, sometimes I just don’t understand the point … It’s just one of those deals. I love to be able to play this game.
I think this mentality can be applied to any work or aspect of life, not just professional sports. If golf does not work for world no. 1, I can definitely see him becoming a philosopher.
