LIUDMILA Samsonova It barely pronounced a word during today’s fourth round Wimbledon.
A silent Samsonova was very busy hitting declarative discs to explode in her daughter’s quarterfinals Wimbledon.
Opposing her 21st big career, Samsonova stopped the Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Mana 7-5, 7-5, in court no. 2 to advance in her first big quarterfinal in what she called one of the most emotional victories of her life.
“It’S’S my first quarter -final, so it’s really exciting,” said Samsonova, who saved nine of the 12 points of rest today. “I think, how, it was a really difficult match because she was playing incredible at the bar this week.
“I haven’t had, as, so many points where I can play and say, okay, that will be right. It was hard. She’s playing stunning. So I don’t know how I survive, honestly.”
The 19th Samsonova is timid and polite outside the court and not many demonstrating in court.
An extraordinary talent that hits a large ball, Samsonova prefers to let her shooting scream – especially her explosive ancestors – talk. Perhaps this is a reason why she tends to fly under the radar.
However, elite opponents respect the former world no. 12, who was born in Olenegorsk, Russia and grew up training in Rome after her family moved to Italy. That’s because they have so much felt her annoying power and know when she is in her game, she can dictate the game in the bar against almost anyone she faces.
Two of the five Samsonova-2011 Berlin career championships and 2024 ‘S-Hertogenbosch-have come to the bar, where her flat attacks are so difficult to relax.
At last month’s Tune-UP tour at Wimbledon in Berlin, Samsonova turned the tennis ball into a destroyed ball by beating the big champion four times Naomi Osaka, US finalist Jessica Pegula and Queen’s club finalist Amanda Animova in a row.
This wonderful Wimbledon jogging is the result of Samsonova spending years learning how to channel its extraordinary power, add some subtlety, including slices back and a strong blow, and cleaning her self-imposed pressure to allow her best tennis to flow in diplomas.
Samsonova said today that she worked to establish her identity in court – and this has brought clarity to her game.
“I think it’s because of only every person is growing up at different times, like the maturity of the person. It is different from anyone,” Samsonova said. “So I think I’m starting to know very well who I am, which player I am and everything.
“The mystery is going, like everything together. I think this is the result of all the work I have done in previous years. It is hard to have, how, to compete every week when you are just growing up and you have a lot, you know, many things in your head.”
To ease some pressure, Samsonova’s routine involves avoiding social media because she does not want to know future opponents too far.
“Don’t think about too early because I’m starting to burn my mind. Summary, yes,” Samsonova said, adding that it is easier for him to avoid the news because “social media doesn’t care about me.”
If she continues this dynamic game, soon the tennis world will take great care of her.
Spoiler Alert: Samsonova confronts ex -numri 1 IgA swiatekwho defeated Clara Tauson today, for a semifinal place.
Informed about Samsonova’s superstitions of refusing to read the draw, Swiatek jokes “I will tell her.”
Swiatek has included all four of their previous meetings, including a 6-4, 6-1 win in the US open round last summer. In total, Swiatek has submitted only 10 games to Samsonova in their last three meetings.
However, the former Wimbledon girls’ champion, Swiatek said she is not surprised by this increase in Samsonova because she is at its best on the fastest surfaces.
“Well, I know she can play great. We’ve played some close matches,” Swiatek said. “I remember it in Stuttgart, it was super intense. Yes, she’s a player who likes the fast surfaces.
“It’s not a surprise to me that she can play well here. She also had some concerns, winning against big players. She’s very experienced. It will surely be a challenge.
“She’s in the quarter -finals, so she has already had a great tournament. She knows how to play here. I will simply prepare the same way as before any other match, and I will be ready.”
Clearly, the five -time sample is a massive favorite in the match. Although Swiatte has not yet to win a court crown, while Samsonova has two lawn titles for her loan, so if she ever beat the pole, SW19 is the ideal place to do it.
The question is: Can Samsonova hold her nerve and grab her flat preface to the heavy swiatic top with enough accuracy and rhythm to rush the pole?
The submissive Samsonova, who grew up in the idoling of Maria Sharapova, said she intends to make a loud noise in her best run.
Do not descend the most overlooked woman still standing in the field. Even if she bends in Swiatek, this Wimbledon jogging reveals that Samsonova Slam Story is starting alone.
“It’S’S’S incredible to see, stand here and be able to have the opportunity to play a quarterfinal of a Slam Grand,” Samonova said. “Second, I think I’ll try to play my game again as well.
“I will try my best. I think I can do well. I mean, I can play a great match.”
