Costco killer?
I wouldn’t go so far. But Costco’s biggest competitor in wholesale goods has finally entered the Golf Ball market.
Maybe this is exciting.
In 2023, Sam’s club calmly started a pack of golf gloves Under the name of their home brand, Mark of the member. Now, the brand has launched a pair of golf balls that aim to rival Kirkland’s performance both in construction and price.

Notable that Sam’s Club has two balls listed in the USGA conforming list. The one listed on the Sam’s website is Pro Series 2. It’S’S’S’S a 338 dense 338 cover.
While Bridgetone and Srixon both have 338 covered covers in their catalogs, the reasonable conclusion is how Costco (and Pxg and Malbon), Sam’s has returned to the Global SM factory to produce their golf balls. Sam’s ball is likely to offer a unique essential formulation with the same cover as other visible Global SM offers.
With this, the reception is that the ball is likely to fall to the end of the spectrum rotation and wind performance can be an issue. That is to say, the ranking on the Sami site says that “through Cl (elevator coefficient) and CD (delay coefficient), Mark Golf Ball generates a powerful flight in wind conditions.”
It is an interesting claim, but the model is what it is, and if it has not changed significantly, I would not expect significantly improved performance. Of course, with $ 15/dozen, it’s the type of things that players will gladly overlook.
Ball Golf Golf Ball of Member of Member (Pro Series 2) will be sold in a package of $ 24 for $ 27.98, and is now available to buy online at Sam’s Club.
