Mark O’mera, the 1998 Masters Champion, competed in Augusta National for the last time in 2018, but every year, he still receives one of the most coveted Golf invitations: a place at the Masters Club’s annual dinner, best known as the champions dinner.
The first champions dinner was received in 1952 by Ben Hoganwho won his first masters in 1951. For tradition, last year’s master champion chooses the menu. The last menus have included some memorable choices, with the samples often choose to honor their heritage by choosing traditional dishes from their native countries or states. This year, for his second dinner, Scottie Scheffler paid homage to his roots in Texas with Texas -style. In 2023, he served a steak at Texas Ribeye.
In the episode of this week Subpar, O’mera recalled for his champions dinner menu – Fajita Steak and Steak, Sushi and Tuna Sashimi – and revealed which dinners were memorable as the best and the worst.
“My wasn’t so good, to be right, it was not really,” O’mera Subpar said COLT COLT KNOST AND DREW POLTZ. “I was disappointed.”

As for the worst dinner, O’mera says he was not there in person, but heard it was the Haggis of Sandy Lyle – a traditional Scottish dish made of the heart, lungs and liver of a sheep and combined with oatmeal, onions and spices. The mixture is then cooked in the sheep’s stomach. Lyle chose to serve Haggis entry in 1989.
“I wasn’t there because I hadn’t won yet, but I heard … Sandy Lyle, yes,” O’mera said. “I didn’t have to go to that dinner because I hadn’t won the masters yet, but I would think it might have been, it would probably fall like … If you never had Haggis in your life, you would probably want to make sure you got a lot of hot sauce.”
As for the best dinners, O’mera said he loved the latest offers.
“I thought Scottie’s dinner was amazing, Hideki Matsuyama Dinner It was phenomenal, “O’mera said.” Tiger, a few years ago after he made that extraordinary run and won in 2019, next year he served chicken and steak. I’m like, hey, what? That was my deal, bro. And his was really better than mine, to be right.
“So, I would say, I saw the Scottie menu for this year. He was very similar to what he had two years ago when he was there,” O’mera continued. “Jon Rahm’s meal It was really good, but Scottie, yes, I probably put the right of Scottie at the top of the list. “
